Project Description

Farming is a complicated industry, where risks are heavily temporal, and without sufficient support, whole businesses can be taken out by a single event.

With a decade since the last major Australian drought event, and countless rule changes in the interleaving years; many farmers won't be aware of drought relief initives in their areas.

Our tool aims to fix this, and help farmers cut a bit of red tape.

Data Story

A data.gov dataset of drought vulnerabilities is used as the base of our analysis. The rest is a set of curated governmental and public-private partnership pages, hand picked to be useful for local farmers.

This is all mapped onto Australia, making it easy for farmers to see what info applies to them.
