Problem


Current myGov is confusing, fragmented, and difficult to navigate—especially during stress-filled life events like having a baby or losing a job.
When you need the most help while navigating through public services, CivicMate will be able to help you complete all necessary tasks.
CivicMate to the rescue!


What is it:
1. CivicMate translates complex policies and procedures into plain English.
2. Curates and matches relevant services and entitlements.
3. Explains eligibility and required documents in simple terms.
4. Provides actionable next steps with direct government links.
5. Avoids bureaucratic jargon to keep guidance easy to follow.
Navigate CivicMate:
1. A personalized dashboard helps users stay on track.
2. Tracks progress across tasks and services.
3. Sends reminders for deadlines and appointments.
4. Stores receipts and reference numbers for verification.
5. Dynamically updates tasks as circumstances change (e.g., moving house, starting a new job)
Why It Matters

Data Story

As shown from the 2014 survey done by Australia government, there are approximately 20% of the respondents mentioned that they do need help when trying to access the public services via website or mobile application. For the CivicMate that we developed, we would want to ensure that the data privacy and security are carefully handle according to the Technical Standard from the Australia government. Future Plans
- Auto-recognition of uploaded documents to assist the user. They only have to take a photo of the letter receive from the government, then the app will suggest the next step to them.
- Multilingual support is also very important in order to make sure that everyone who is not a native English speaker will have an easier time when accessing all these public service.
- Customize reminder for important task like renewal of driving license or tax refund so that the user will not missed out any important task.
