Project Description
Australia is ranked 18 among 190 economies in the ease of doing business.
With time Australia is becoming more attractive place to launch and run a start-up, having jumped to the fifth-most start-up-friendly country in the world according to the StartupBlink Startup Ecosystem Rankings 2019 report.
There are lots of resources and services provided by government to help aspiring founders. However, many a times founders are unable to make the right decisions due to no single view of insights regarding their industry in a single place.
Our portal uses multiple data sources from government to provide predictive analytics and insights in a user-friendly manner to any aspiring start-up founder. All they need to do is select the broad business category/industry for their start-up.
The portal will give insights and provide predictions, so the start-up founder can make informed choices. The current insights are:
• employment growth,
• gender demographics,
• industry health,
• successful business that have received government assistance etc
• It will also suggest them the innovation precincts related to their business category so that they can collaborate.
Currently the portal is a Proof of concept and works at a broad industry level. It can be further expanded:
• Expand the business category to fine industry level. For e.g. Within Broad Industry “Manufacturing” there are multiple fine industry categories such as “Bakery Product Manufacturing” , “chemical Manufacturing” etc.
• Link it to planning portals for start-up founders to understand what developments are upcoming in which are for them to choose the best location
• Train the Predictive model with more industry data to provide better analytics for the start-up founders.
