Project Description

Community Agent is an agentic AI-powered platform that helps Australians
— especially those who are digitally excluded or living with disabilities
— easily discover, engage with, and act on local government and community services.
Unlike static directories, Community Agent is proactive, autonomous, and voice-first. It provides loud, clear voice guidance and supports local languages, such as Kaurna, so users can navigate services in a way that feels familiar and accessible. It doesn’t just tell you where help is
— it books appointments, sends reminders, fills out forms, and connects you with real local volunteers for human support.
By bridging gaps in digital literacy, accessibility, language, and disability-friendly communication, Community Agent is designed to empower, connect, and include all residents, regardless of their technical skills, devices, or abilities.

Ask Izzy

Description of Use Our AI agent's analytics dashboard ingests and analyses trends from Ask Izzy's anonymous search data. This data is aggregated and cannot be traced to any individual, preserving privacy while providing a macro-level view of what vulnerable Australians are searching for, by location and over time.

Data Set

Data.gov

Description of Use Our solution leverages Data.gov.au as its foundational data infrastructure, ensuring all service recommendations are sourced from authoritative and officially sanctioned publications. The AI agent's reasoning engine would perform live queries against the portal's API to maintain an up-to-date understanding of program eligibility, application processes, and official service descriptions.

Data Set

SA Community Directory

Description of Use Upon identifying a user's need for instance, requiring emergency food relief the agent executes a structured query of the SAcommunity dataset. It filters results by proximity, current operating hours, and eligibility criteria to present a validated shortlist of available options, such as Foodbank SA outlets. This process transforms a static directory into a dynamic, intelligent referral system that directly addresses immediate citizen needs.
