Our poject aims to bridge communities together and encourage active lifestyles by paring carers/volunteers with aged and disable.


Data Story


there is alot of data on health and wellbeing, our project aims to increase the positive data out there by encouraging the communities to come together and be active. Location, city and state data is used to encourage application users to venture out and explore together.

Description of Use Information here could be used to better tailor activities suggested on the app. Encouraging seniors to take advantage of these concessions could be an objective of the solution.

Description of Use Using this data we are able to pair up new volunteers or existing volunteers in organisations with aged persons.

Description of Use Taking into account weather variations when suggesting routes and activities for volunteers to bring the elderly for. As an example, the app should not suggest a walk in the park on a rainy day.

Description of Use The solution we are looking into directly impacts the wellbeing of elderly residents, and that of their carers. Using the indicators, we can target specific outcomes such as increasing the participation of residents in arts and cultural activities among the elderly, improving personal relations, volunteering, self-reported health and quality of life.

Description of Use Aside from providing companionship, it would be likely that the solution will move towards covering a wider range of volunteering efforts that will target the needs of aged persons as closely as possible.

Description of Use Information on technology adoption amongst the elderly is available, which will give us an idea of how feasible the solution is. Improving technology adoption from this group would also be a benefit. Information on aged people from culturally diverse backgrounds will help us to provide assistance to the subsection of elderly who are most likely to experience isolation and require help.
