Parking:

Access UniSC Car Park 1 on the right-hand side of our foundation building, request entry via buzzer on entry gate noting you're with GovHack. Park in any unreserved bay. Additional parking is available throughout the Mill site and by accessing the buzzer on the UniSC Temporary Carpark.

Public Transport:

Petrie Station is just a short walk from UniSC's Foundation building and we encourage the use of public transport. Timetable and information available at https://jp.translink.com.au/plan-your-journey/stops/petrie-station

Operating hours:

Friday evening 5pm - 9:30pm
Saturday and Sunday 8am - 6pm

Catering:

Catering is only available during the opening ceremony Friday 19 August, and Mentor Morning tea 10am Saturday 20th.


Participants are encouraged to sample the establishments in our local community, or we have fridge, boiling/chilled water and microwave facilities in the Kitchenette beside the Auditorium. UniSC is a water re-fill campus, so please bring your refillable bottles, or make use of the ones kindly supplied by Unitywater for all participants.

Event Information


GovHack is an annual Open Data competition held across Australia. In 2022 it will be held on the weekend of 19th - 21st August. In 46 hours teams create a project page, proof of concept and a video that tells the story of how government data can be reused.


Attending a GovHack event


GovHack is a free event to attend for competitors. GovHack events are recorded in video, audio and photographic form. By attending, you acknowledge and accept that you may be the subject of such recording and your image may be publicly displayed in connection to the event. We will seek to accommodate but cannot guarantee any specific wish not to be recorded or image displayed.
